Terms and conditions of participation

These General Terms and Conditions apply to competitions organized by Michael Weinig AG, Weinigstraße 2/4, 97941 Tauberbischofsheim, Germany, and HOLZ-HER GmbH, Großer Forst 4, 72622 Nürtingen, Germany (hereinafter jointly referred to as “WEINIG”).

Conditions specified in connection with the respective competition, e.g. on the competition page or in the entry form, take precedence over these General Terms and Conditions of Participation.

1. Additional conditions taking precedence

The conditions under which participation in a specific competition is possible, as well as any special rules for determining the winners and the prizes provided, are specified in the additional conditions for the respective competition.

2. Participation

Only commercial enterprises based in Europe are eligible to participate.

The following are not eligible to participate:

  • Universities and other educational institutions
  • Clubs, associations, and other non-commercial organizations

Only natural persons who:

  • are at least 18 years of age and
  • act as employees, representatives, or agents of an eligible company are permitted to participate.

Employees of Michael Weinig AG, HOLZ-HER GmbH, and all companies affiliated with the WEINIG Group under corporate law, as well as their family members, are excluded from participation.

Only one entry per company is permitted.

Multiple entries by different employees of the same company are not permitted. Each person may only enter once and only on behalf of one company.

Participation via automated mass participation procedures or via third parties is not permitted.

WEINIG reserves the right to exclude participants from the competition if there is suspicion of abuse, manipulation, or other illegal behavior. There is no legal right to participate or win.

In the event of violations of these conditions of participation or applicable legal provisions, WEINIG is entitled to exclude participants and not to award prizes, to subsequently reject them or to reclaim them.

Participation is free of charge. Participation and the chances of winning are independent of the purchase of goods or services. Any costs for internet connection or other expenses shall be borne by the participant.

3. Prize draw and determination of winners

The prizes will be raffled among all eligible companies.

Only one prize per company and raffle is possible, unless otherwise specified in the additional terms and conditions.

The machine will not be raffled on site during HOLZ-HANDWERK 2026, but after the end of the trade fair, at the latest within four (4) weeks after the end of the trade fair.

The winners will be notified by email after the competition has ended. If a winner does not respond within 7 days of receiving the notification of their win, their claim to the prize will expire and a replacement winner will be drawn.

In the event of an undeliverable notification, WEINIG is not obliged to make further inquiries.

4. Data protection

By participating in the competition, the participant agrees that WEINIG may process the personal data collected for the purpose of conducting the competition.

The participant may revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future and thereby withdraw from further participation.

The winners agree to the one-time publication of their name or company name in connection with the competition.

If separate consent has been given, WEINIG will also use the data to send newsletters or similar information. This consent can be revoked at any time.

WEINIG reserves the right to change, terminate early, or extend the competition at any time for good cause, in particular if proper execution cannot be guaranteed for legal or technical reasons.

Legal recourse is excluded.

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies exclusively.

Should any provision of these conditions of participation be or become invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
