Speed series: SOLID SCAN T 5000

The SOLID SCAN T 5000 series impresses with very high scanning speed, precise defect detection, and robust performance, making it ideal for automatic sorting or ripping in demanding production lines with high output.

Both dry and wet boards or sawn timber can be reliably detected in cross-feed, enabling even higher speeds than in longitudinal feed.

The series models reliably detect black knots, holes, bark, wane, as well as blue stain discolorations in various wood types. Strength grading according to EN 14081 is also possible. Here, the scanner system provides standard-compliant detection of all relevant wood features – precise, reproducible, and process-safe.

  • Do you want a higher wood yield or more good parts?
Thanks to the sensor package, the 5000 series with AI technology achieves significantly better results than any manual marking and surpasses conventional scanner systems in its performance.
  • Do you need or want to reduce your operating costs?
The labor-intensive manual marking is completely eliminated, and wood defects are still reliably and accurately ripped or sorted. This noticeably reduces personnel requirements while maintaining consistently high or increasing product quality.
  • Do you need maximum flexibility in production?
You can manufacture numerous qualities and product variants in parallel, without conversion effort and at very high speed.
  • Do you want to achieve peak productivity?
With a WEINIG scanner system of this series, you achieve a very fast and efficient throughput with precise automatic defect detection at the same time.

Unlike our standard sensors in longitudinal feed, special sensors for cross-feed were used in the 5000 series, which have very good resolution and performance. With the fastest speed available on the market, they guarantee the best results. Continuous development of this industrial sensor system ensures that performance is constantly increased.

The sensors enable the detection of defects such as knots, pith tubes, holes, or wane.

All sensors are protected by a dustproof housing.
